Kidney Transplant - Recipient

If you are suffering from kidney failure, or are receiving dialysis treatments, you should consider receiving a kidney transplant because it’s a solution that will last longer and cost less. Before receiving a kidney, you’ll have to go through pretransplant evaluations so we may ensure you’re healthy enough to receive a transplant. You will also have to spend time on the waitlist until a deceased donor kidney becomes available, although this waiting time can be greatly reduced if you have a friend or family member who’s willing to be your living donor.
